Community Involvement
While the JobApp Network hiring management system already helps many communities by providing greater access to jobs through the phone (IVR) and the web, the company is firmly committed to community involvement and service. JobApp regularly organizes employee service events, which provide opportunities for employees to serve the community together.
The most recent company-sponsored service event took place at Gleaners Community Food Bank in Detroit on January 22, 2009. Working together, as a team, JobApp employees removed potentially tainted peanut butter products from over 12 tons of food destined for the hungry. Gleaners Community Food Bank, originally founded in 1974 by Gene Gonya, is today one of largest foodbanks in the U.S., providing the food necessary for over 65,000 meals per day.
